Esa Ruskeepää is committed to delivering original designs for outstanding buildings. Together with a small group of dedicated professionals, he aspires to create architecture that is both elemental and universal.
The studio works on a few projects at a time, allowing appropriate time and attention for the development of balanced architectural concepts and precise construction details. The design work in all phases as well as all the detailing of execution is personally supervised by Esa Ruskeepää.
Architectural expression is constrained by a set of rules that makes buildings and cities legible. Like spoken languages, architecture has geographical boundaries of tradition, culture and climate. Architecture rarely needs a total reinvention, but rather continuous rediscovery and sometimes, under exceptional circumstances, possible refinement. Comparable in some sense to mathematics or musical notation, architectural logic is quintessentially abstract and symbolic.
